ABC sold the rights of One Life to Live to Prospect Park on July 7, 2011, but on November 23, 2011, the project was shelved. On April 14, 2011, ABC announced that it was canceling One Life to Live after almost 43 years due to low ratings. It still aired on ABC at 2 pm eastern, and 9 pm eastern on SOAPNET.
